Bits and Bobs

Here is Tali 'posing' with some of Auntie's things. She loves the camera - I'd rather be on the other side!
Here's a bear I made a few years ago - my first and only attempt. He has a bit of a hunch back and looks a little on the sad side, but he is loved. I've decided to make another one out of my late Pops Brown Cord Gardening Trousers. Maybe 'Old Blue' won't look so sad if he has a new buddy.

Here's my Flowerpot Angel with recycled brown card wings. She was made about the same time as the bear - I must've been going through a 'blue' stage - in fact I thinks I'm still in it. Love BLUE!

These are a few of my 'tin things'. Not sure why but I have a liking for old sifters and have recently decided to collect them. Mum's hidden hers because I keep telling her how much I like it.

These are a few of my favourite things...

Thought I'd show you a few of my favourite bits and pieces from around my house.

This stitchery is a Wash House Cats design. I altered the wording slightly to suit my daughter Talitha, who at one stage was nicknamed, "Tali May".

At the moment it lives on the lounge room dresser among some lovely old things, most of which belonged to my Grandmother.

My sister, from auntiesquaintquilts has given me many beautiful pieces over the past few years. These are among my favourites:

"Sisters by Chance - Friends by Choice" wall hanging

and this gorgeous stitchery!

I love receiving her gifts - they are all beautiful!

Hello World... ...this is me!

Hi Blogland!

My name is Kathy, I'm from the beautiful North West Coast of Tasmania. I'm a singer/songwriter and single mum to 3 gorgeous (this is sometimes questionable) kids.

Tali, Jesse and Micah on Puffing Billy, Victoria.

I'm new to this blogging thing. My sister has just set up a blog and I've become so addicted to checking out what she's doing that I thought maybe I should bite the bullet and climb aboard the blogging bandwagon too.

The past year has been a busy one. In between cooking, cleaning, washing.. ...and being personal taxi driver to my busy little family, who are all avid basketball and soccer players, I've managed to find the time to begin the process of recording a CD of my own music. Its been huge amounts of fun.

A friend of mine, Fiona, a most talented muso and extremely gifted girl has been producing it for me - she is amazing! I've had some fantasic muso's and vocalists put down some great tracks for me - including Fiona Kluyt, Abe Udy, Stephen Atkins, Mike Lizotte, Trent Smith, Francis Pule, Daniel Upton, my 7 yr old Talitha and Peter Shurley. As we are nearing the final stages its getting very exciting (and I'm a little nervous too). Its one thing to go and sing at different events, but something altogether different, and a little strange, to listen to yourself (over and over) in the studio. Its been a fantastic experience though!
