Off to shop we go

lynette anderson is having a gorgeous redwork giveaway. Go and check out her blog and leave a comment to be in the draw. Tripped off to Launceston with the kids and 'auntie' yesterday. First (unitentional) stop was the Cheese factory at Elizabeth Town. They had all these painted cows around the place - they were excellent! Auntie took heaps of piccies so if you check out her blog in the next few days I'm sure you'll see some of them. So after some cheese tasting...yum...We then went on to Esme's, where we bought some very yummy bits and pieces and met leanne who was working in the shop.

Fat quarters, yellow gingham sandcastle and ric-rac from Esme's

Bundle of background fabrics from Calico Crossroads, Exeter

Next stop - Donut King - too much sugar for us grown ups, but the kids, especially the boys, were happy... ...until they discovered we were going to at least two more quilt shops (and Moo sooked about not getting enough coke - insert loud wail here). So, off to the Country Quilter and also to Calico Crossroads in Exeter. The kids had a play in a great park at Riverside and we ended the day with a quick tea at Morty's and then it was time for "Home James... ...and don't spare the horses"!

I like your new background. Reminds me of the pink and brown fabrics you bought in Melbourne. The penguins are very cool.
